About the event
During the event we’ll get to hear three points of view from across Europe:
- Sebastiano Putoto – Vice President of JEF Europe
Sebastiano is an economist by training, and works on EU fiscal and budgetary affairs. He is also a former policy adviser to a Member of the European Parliament on banking and financial services, sustainable finance, Eurozone governance and monetary policy, the EU budget and public investment, state aid and taxation. - Lauri Ikola – Vice President of JEF Finland
Lauri is a master’s student on history and European integration. He has focused on the history of the European union, actions of European movements in Finland and the nature and formation of European identities. He also enjoys cooking to his partner, pondering strategy in games and scratching his cat Vöner. - Matteo Gori – President of JEF Italy
Matteo holds a bachelor’s degree in Economics and a master’s degree in Public Policies. JEF activist since 2014, he has co-organised many seminars and awareness-raising events on European federalism, participating in the last three editions of the Ventotene Seminar as a speaker on the EU budget, the reform of the EMU and its governance.
After that we’ll bring the speakers together for a panel to discuss the similarities and differences in approaches within Europe and the challenges the European approach is facing. Are there successes in the European approach? We will ask our panellists to give their points of view in this discussion.
